DASEIN is a critical minerals advisory and investment firm. We source, structure, and finance non-market metals — antimony, tungsten, tin, germanium, gallium, and rare earths — for buyers building supply chains outside Chinese control.
WHAT WE DO
We originate and structure physical trades in minor and non-market metals across Central Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Africa. We raise capital for mining projects and, more often, for the processing capacity that sits between a mine and a manufacturer — the step where most Western supply chains actually break. We advise family offices, industrial buyers, and institutional investors on where that capacity should be built and what it is worth.
Background
Dasein was founded in 2025 by Zain Kazmi. Prior to Dasein, he spent nine years as Chief Operating Officer of Capital Strategies Group in Islamabad, building it from a trading desk into a four-division, hundred-person firm across energy, capital equipment, and mining. Before that he worked at ThyssenKrupp in Essen, in the strategic business unit evaluating the group’s non-steel industrial portfolio, and at Polysius in cement process engineering — where the interest in minerals processing started. He holds an M.Sc. in Production Operations Management from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and degrees in Economics and Philosophy from Boston University.
How We Work
We are small and we intend to stay that way. We take on a limited number of engagements and we work them directly — no associates, no handoffs. We hold relationships with producers, processors, and offtakers built over fifteen years of operating on the ground in the regions where these materials actually come from, and with sovereign and institutional investors in the Gulf, Europe, and North America. Zain serves as Market Development Advisor to the Critical Minerals Forum, a Washington-based body working on allied supply chain policy, which keeps us close to how procurement and financing decisions in this sector get made.
